The history
The Quabas Group is a group of companies specialized in the import of frozen and fresh meats since the early '70s, distinguishing itself by being the first European operator to import poultry from Brazil.
Numerous other products were added later, ranging from the import of frozen beef from South America, up to lamb from New Zealand.
The operational headquarters is located in northern Italy, in Castelvetro Piacentino (Piacenza), one hour south-east of Milan, in a strategic logistical position.
Following a continuous trajectory of growth and evolution, the Group has developed its own refrigerated warehouses and modern premises, in addition to several owned real estate complexes, consolidating its position as a point of reference in the supply of meats for food industries, large-scale retail, wholesalers and food service operators.
Within its commercial areas the Quabas Group has also invested in energy sustainability, producing clean and renewable energy through photovoltaic systems on roofs and land generating over 5 MW.
What we do
The Quabas Group deals with the import-export of frozen and fresh meats, with particular attention to meat processing industries and food distribution.
The assortment includes beef, poultry, lamb, pork, game and some frozen fish items, sourced from the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.
It also imports high quality chilled beef from the United States, Australia, Canada and Japan.
It extensively serves the whole Italian national territory, as well as all the countries of the European Union, thanks to dedicated refrigerated warehouses and a specialized logistical network.
